Keloid Research, the official journal of the Keloid Research Foundation, is a subscription-based journal published online. It provides an international forum for original basic science, translational, and clinical research on keloid disorder and related fields. Article titles and abstracts are freely available; access to full-text articles and downloadable PDFs requires an active subscription.
The journal’s electronic format supports enhanced graphics, video, and online discussion to improve the presentation and exchange of scientific findings. Keloid Research also serves as a resource for research, clinical education, and scholarly discussion among physicians, scientists, and other professionals interested in keloid disorder.
Manuscript acceptance is based on originality, scientific importance, methodological quality, validity of the evidence, clarity of presentation, and relevance to the journal’s readership. Articles should be concise, well organized, and clearly written. Submissions must represent original work that has not been published elsewhere, except as an abstract, and must not be under consideration by another publication.
Authors who are uncertain whether their work falls within the journal’s scope are encouraged to contact the Editor-in-Chief before submission.
All articles undergo peer review by physicians and scientists with relevant expertise. The final publication decision considers the scientific contribution, quality of the evidence, and clarity of the manuscript and supporting materials.
Reader Access: Keloid Research operates under a subscription-based publishing model. Titles and abstracts may be read without a subscription. Full-text articles and PDF downloads are available to readers with an active individual or institutional subscription. For available plans, visit the Journal Subscription page.
