ABSTRACT
BACKGROUND: This fibroproliferative disorder causing abnormal wound healing pattern resulting in overgrown aggressive scar in the area of trauma. In our scenario, though incidence is of 1% in non-communicable disease pattern with varied clinical presentation.
METHODS: We managed to handle 32 cases of keloids predominantly being post CABG surgery, ear piercing, Hairy chest men, metal pendant irritation for presternal keloids since May 2019 to May 2022
RESULTS: Predominantly Intralesional steroid therapy worked handy for us in the given clinical scenarios in given numbers of patients, types and size of the keloids, which helped us to create the chart for management.
CONCLUSION: The cultural background and social setup play a definite role in tailoring the treatment according to the patient more than the keloid type.
